Land of history and legends
Wherever you walk in Hälsingland, the history and legends are everywhere. Most notably, the Hårga-legend, where the devil lured the youths in the village of Hårga to dance onto the mountain, where they danced until there wasn't anything left until their sculls rattling around. The Ari Aster film "Midsommar" takes place in Hårga, Hälsingland, and is loosely based on the legend.
